Your LED Face Mask Routine: How to Fit 10 Minutes of Light Into Your Evening

Himra LED Face & Neck Mask

An LED face mask is one of the easiest self-care rituals to keep: you put it on, press a button and relax for ten minutes. Here is how to make the most of your session with the Himra™ LED Face & Neck Mask or the flexible LED Light Therapy Face Mask.

1. Start with clean, dry skin

Cleanse your face (a quick sonic cleanse is perfect) and pat it completely dry. Skip heavy creams, oils and makeup before the session – apply your serum and moisturizer afterwards instead.

2. Choose your light

Himra masks offer 7 light colors. Many people like red light for a warm, calming evening session and switch colors depending on their mood. Pick one color per session and keep it simple.

3. Ten minutes, eyes closed

Put the mask on, adjust the strap so it sits comfortably and start a session. Keep your eyes closed during the session and never look directly into the LEDs. Ten minutes is the perfect amount of time for a podcast, a playlist or simply doing nothing.

4. Finish with your skincare

After the session, apply your serum and moisturizer. If you have a Neck & Face Massager, this is the moment to use it – the gentle warmth and vibration turn the last step into a mini massage.

How often?

Consistency matters more than long sessions. A few evenings a week is a realistic rhythm for most people. Follow the instructions in your mask's manual and don't go beyond the recommended session time.

Safety first

  • Keep your eyes closed and don't stare into the lights.
  • Don't use the mask if you are pregnant, photosensitive, taking medication that increases light sensitivity, or have epilepsy – ask your doctor first.
  • Stop if you feel any discomfort.

Cleaning your mask

Wipe the inside of the mask with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use and let it dry before storing it. Never put it under running water and charge it only with the included cable.
